I’m Adam Shenton, I’ve been a driving instructor since 2009. I always wanted to work for myself and before I even passed my own driving test I knew one day I would be a driving instructor. When I fully qualified I immediately set up my own business Adam Shenton Driving School. Going independent from the start was challenging especially during a recession. I initially had to cover a wide area including Wakefield, Rotherham and Doncaster, however, by striving to give quality tuition and excellent value for money I soon had a consistently fully booked diary. I therefore now only usually cover my home town Barnsley. Becoming a driving instructor was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, it’s a rewarding way to earn a living. My only regret is I didn’t do it sooner.

Instructor Training
In an attempt to grow my driving school, since 2018 I’ve ventured into instructor training. Members of the general public (subject to suitability) can with my help apply, study and learn to become a fully qualified driving instructor. Upon qualification a franchise agreement is offered where they have the opportunity to join Adam Shenton Driving School. My first PDI ( Potential Driving Instructor) qualified in 2019.
